Perth Sky Show cancelled after two people die

The Australia Day Skyworks show has been cancelled after two people died in a light plane crash today.

A police spokesman said two people were dead and the City of Perth had cancelled the show.

The spokesman said the City had a policy of cancelling the show in the event of catastrophic incidents.

Public transport will now be “ramped up” at an earlier time and police will assist in moving crowds along so that they can get home.

Those planning to come into the city are asked to stay at home.
