Inspectors found food was sold past its use-by date on September 11 last year.

And between July 11 and December 18 last year, it failed to maintain equipment to a standard of cleanliness.

The takeaway also failed to ensure people who were undertaking and supervising food handling operations had skills and knowledge in food safety and hygiene.

And on December 18 last year it also sold food that was labelled in a manner that contravened a provision of the Food Standards Code.

City Provisions Pty Ltd was fined $20,000 plus costs of $2,218.30.
