Perth’s weekend weather: it’s getting hot in here

WHILE Melbourne suffers through a once-in-a-generation summer storm this weekend, Perth will be experiencing the exact opposite.

Beach weather is well and truly here, with a top of 35C on Saturday and 37C on Sunday – but it won’t last all week.

The temperature will drop back down to 28 on Monday, with a shower or two predicted – followed by a possible thunderstorm on Tuesday.

The UV index is expected to reach an extreme level of 12 over the weekend – so if you do go out in the sun, make sure you wear protection.
