Photo competition calls for snapshot of life in Mt Lawley

MT Lawley will be the star of a photo competition organised by new Mt Lawley MLA Simon Millman.

Mr Millman announced the competition to showcase the electorate, which includes the suburbs of Mt Lawley, Menora, Coolbinia, Yokine, and parts of Dianella.

The winning photograph will be featured on electorate greeting cards for the next 12 months, while the winner will be awarded a $100 gift voucher at Camera House Morley and a lunch at Parliament House with Mr Millman.

The deadline is 12pm on Friday, June 9 and the winner will be announced on Monday, June 12.

Entrants should send photographs to and provide their full name, phone number and address.

Mr Millman said the competition “gives our community the opportunity to capture the beauty of our vibrant and diverse local area”.

“I’m hoping the competition becomes an annual event, providing local artists and students the chance to showcase their talent,” he said. “I’m committed to encouraging art of all forms in our community and can’t wait to see what entries we receive.”
