Police appeal after glassing attack

A MIDNIGHT glassing in Northbridge has caused a man to undergo surgery on his neck with the offender still on the run.

Police said a 26-year-old man was on the dance floor of a Telethon Avenue pub on August 31 when he became involved in an physical altercation just after midnight.

Another man on the dance floor struck the 26-year-old with what police believed to be glass.

Police said the victim received a large laceration injury on his face and neck and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for a surgery on his 20 cm wound, requiring 30 stitches.

The other man left the scene immediately after the incident.
