Police allege a white van also travelling north moved from the right hand lane into the left, forcing the man to take evasive action.

“The man braked heavily and his motorcycle struck the kerb causing him to fall from the motorcycle onto the road,” spokeswoman Susan Usher said.

“The driver of the van continued on, possibly unaware of what had occurred.

“The motorcycle rider was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with a shoulder injury.

“Police would like to speak to the driver of the van or anyone who may have seen the incident.”
