POLICE have released photos of the horrific neck injuries a young motorcycle rider sustained when he hit a piece of rope tied across Wellington Street last night.

The man was riding past the Perth Train Station at 11.30pm when the rope caught him around the neck and knocked him off his bike.

The man moved off the road to the paved area out the front of the station and removed his helmet, but was surrounded by the group of juveniles.
