Police looking for witnesses after man received head injuries in car accident

POLICE are looking for witnesses after a man received head injuries while running near Elizabeth Quay on Friday evening.

Traffic Enforcement Group Officers are investigating the crash that occurred about 7.30pm.

The 19-year-old man was running west on Geoffrey Bolton Avenue when he ran onto the road at the intersection of William Street.

At the same time, a white Mitsubishi sedan was travelling north on William Street and the two collided.

He rolled over the bonnet of the Mitsubishi and into the path of a second car, a white Hyundai also travelling north on William Street.

The man landed between the two cars and partially under the Hyundai but wasn’t hit by it.

The man was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital and treated for serious head injuries.

The drivers were not injured.
