Police officer under investigation cops further charge

A WA Police officer under investigation by the Internal Affairs Unit has been suspended without pay following a further charge.

The Senior Constable, initially stood down from duty on March 2, has now been charged with stealing as a public servant.

This latest charge follows earlier court appearances for three counts of unlawful use of a restricted access computer and one count of possessing an indecent or obscene article.

He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on April 20 to face the unlawful use of a restricted access computer and the stealing as a public servant charges.

He will also appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on April 27 for the possession of an indecent or obscene article charge.
