Premiere of Perth film Caged In raises $2500 for domestic violence organisation

THE Perth premiere screening of drama film Caged In raised more than $2500 for an organisation that supports women and children impacted by domestic violence.

The movie, by Perth producer Maggie Meyer, is about a courageous mother and daughter trapped in an abusive relationship.

The charity screening was at the State Library Theatre in November, with proceeds going to Starick.

Heavyweight UFC World Champion Soa Palelei hosted the evening, which received a donation of $1000 from Relationships Australia WA for the screening.

Caged In premiered at the 168 Film Festival in Los Angeles in August, claiming six awards from seven nominations.
