Rapper Kendrick Lamar to play Perth gig on July 10

Staff WriterEastern Reporter

PULITZER Music Prize-winning US rap superstar Kendrick Lamar has announced he will play at Perth Arena in July.

Already announced as the headliner for this year’s Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay, the 12-time Grammy Award winner announced a raft of Australian sideshows which kick off in Perth on Tuesday July 10.

Lamar is one of the biggest names in rap and is currently experiencing more success with Black Panther: The Album, following his win in January’s Triple J Hottest 100 with Humble from last year’s universally acclaimed DAMN, which was named the best album of 2017 by a multitude of music publications including Billboard, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone.
