GET ready to give it away, give it away, give it away now – the Red Hot Chili Peppers are returning to Australian shores for their first headline shows since 2007.

The funk-rock legends are bringing their high-energy performances to Australia for a run of arena and outdoor shows through February-March 2019.

Their Perth show at nib Stadium on Tuesday March 5 will be the final leg of their Australian tour.

Singer Anthony Kiedis, Melbourne-born bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer last graced fans with headline slots at Big Day Out 2013.

Over the course of their career, the LA-based band have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, won six Grammy Awards and have had six ARIA Chart-topping albums.

Tickets will go on general sale at midday (local time) on November 26, while pre-sales start from 9am November 21.
