RTRFM 92.1 hands reins to all female DJs for International Women’s Day

RTRFM 92.1 will be female-centric on Wednesday to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD).

The station’s 24-hour IWD programming block will feature female presenters, songs and stories from 11pm on March 7 until 1am March 9, championing women’s achievements in music at home and around the world.

Kicking off at 11pm, Courtney Fraser will deliver two hours of jungle, drum & bass, dubstep, trip-hop and grime on bass check.

Then at 1am, Up Late with Raine van Dyle and Snooze Button with Emiko Watanabe will soundtrack the first five hours of female-driven music for night owls and early-risers.

Caitlin Nienaber will present Breakfast and Em Burrows will deliver The Mag, exploring women’s stories and sounds from 6am through to midday.

Xanthea O’Connor will host RTRFM’s new release program Out to Lunch with the latest releases from female artists.

Afternoon beats will come courtesy of Alisha Gatani on Full Frequency, while the journey home will be soundtracked by Justine Dandy on Drivetime.

Ai-Ling Truong will bring the day to a close on Posted, followed by Jen Gruesome for Critical Mass and Minouck Dawn rounding off 24-hour programming block with massive sounds on Behind the Mirror.
