RTRFM will broadcast live from Hyde Park as part of its family friendly Neon Picnic event on March 17.

Set up at the amphitheatre between 11am and 7pm, the community radio station presenters will broadcast their Saturday program line-up Global Rhythm Pot, Homegrown, Drastic on Plastic and Jamdown Vershun.

There will also be live sets by Hot Paprika, with traditional music from Hungary, new comers Almond Soy and Intercontinental Sounds.

The entertainment will continue into the afternoon with pop-folk pioneer Helen Shanahan, Felicity Groom and The U-Nites.

Families are invited with a bouncy castle, arts and crafts centre and hula hoop workshop with magician Young Hoops there for children.

Parents can relax in the licensed bar with drinks from Feral Brewing, Hills Cider Company and Undertow Wines or enjoy a bite and coffee from Meat Candy, Pocket Falafels and Double Shotz.

Entry is free and families are encouraged to bring a picnic.
