Caitlin TillerEastern Reporter

POLICE claim a pair of scissors was used to stab a man in the neck at Weld Square yesterday.

Senior Sergeant Brendan Moore said a group of people were gathered near a charity lunch service in Northbridge when there was “aggravation” between two men at 2.15pm.

Snr Sgt Moore claimed one man stabbed another in the left side of his neck above his collarbone and fled the scene.

The victim had a 3cm deep laceration to his neck that required sutures and overnight monitoring at Royal Perth Hospital.
