Skating on ice for winter

Staff ReporterEastern Reporter

Event organisers Big Bang Productions are creating Winterland, Perth’s first inner city outdoor ice-skating rink, from July 4-20.

The 250sq m ice rink will be complemented by a winter themed bar and caf and food stalls. MRA chief executive Kieran Kinsella said the total sponsorship of the event from MRA was estimated to be more than $40,000.

‘The MRA continues to sponsor a regular program of events (such as Winterland), festivals and art commissions to ensure the area remains ‘alive’,’ he said.
