The meeting was called last week after Premier Colin Barnett said he would not stop the City of Perth absorbing all of Vincent, changing his initial stance that only minor changes would be considered.
A letter to Society members says this change showed ‘people power’ could make a difference.
‘There remain compelling heritage, community, planning and logistical reasons why the heritage protection areas of Mt Lawley, Menora and Inglewood should remain with the City of Stirling,’ the letter says. ‘With community backing we believe that we can win this fight.’
