ST John WA has donated hundreds of Christmas presents to Anglicare WA that will distribute them to children across WA.

Perth College students wrapped the presents.

St John chief executive Michelle Fyfe said the gesture was just another way their people demonstrated they were all about ‘For the Service of Humanity’, which is their motto.

“We have been collecting these presents for children who are particularly vulnerable so we know the gifts will be very well received,” she said.

Anglicare WA chief executive Ian Carter said Christmas was just another day for many kids.

They could have just fled violent homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs, or their families might be struggling simply to get by and have no money to spare for gifts,” Mr Carter said.

“These gifts will certainly bring some unexpected joy to these young lives.”
