Stamp out drug spot campaign

Staff ReporterEastern Reporter

Morley police officers and City of Stirling security officers have joined forces to stamp out illicit drug taking and disorderly behaviour in and around Yokine Reserve.

Morley police station officer-in-charge Acting Senior Sergeant Mo Livingstone said the behaviour was a serious concern because it disrupted sporting activities and caused issues for local residents.

‘With the drug use, not only the welfare of the people taking the drugs is a concern but that of the general public as used syringes have been discarded within the park and close to child play areas,’ he said.
