Streets hub of fun

Denise S. CahillEastern Reporter

Hub chairwoman Natalie Upson said the aim was to create a more engaging space for locals and visitors.

"We saw what was happening in other main street precincts and felt that we needed to do something with this area," Mrs Upson said.

"Businesses and the community are the main drivers."

Mt Lawley resident and former local small bar owner Ian Lawless is encouraging restaurateurs to set up food stalls and get involved in the festival. Mr Lawless owned Wee Bar on Oxford Street until recently and remains passionate about the area.
