Staff WriterEastern Reporter

A SUBIACO bar has been the target of a suspected arson attack for the second time in a week.

Fire crews were alerted to the blaze at Voyeur Bar on the corner of Hay Street and Rockeby Road when the building alarm went off just before 4am this morning.

They arrived a short time later to find several small fires inside, estimated to have caused $100,000 of damage.

No-one was injured but it did spark an emergency evacuation of nearby businesses including the Nova radio station, which had to delay its breakfast show this morning because of heavy smoke.

It follows another attack at a similar time on Saturday morning where two men broke into the bar, pouring an accelerant before setting it alight.

The damage was minimal and the venue was able to continue to trade that night.
