Mrs Civitella unearthed the 0.45m-long sweet potato from her North Perth vegetable garden last week and said it was so heavy she could not even carry it.
‘I was very happy when I saw it,’ Mrs Civitella said.
‘I couldn’t lift it, it was too heavy.’
The dog-shaped spud took six months to grow.
It was helped along by Mrs Civitella’s special mix of sheep and cow manure.
