The animal welfare organisation is calling on all WA animal lovers and keen bakers to get involved in Cupcake Day on August 18.

RSPCA WA chief executive David van Ooran said Cupcake Day was a positive way to raise much-needed funds and help make a difference.

‘This is a major fundraising campaign for us and offers a chance for everyone to participate,’ he said.

‘Even though animal cruelty is something people find hard to think about, the fact is that every dollar counts when it comes to our rescue work, and we’d encourage anyone who wants to support us to jump on board and become part of this important fundraiser.’

During August, Cupcake Day participants can hold an event at their workplace, at home, or with friends and every dollar will go to helping animals in need.
