A MAN allegedly stole a taxi carrying live-saving blood in West Perth about 2.25pm on April 9.

“As a result of the urgency, the driver left the vehicle running while entering the blood bank,” Sergeant Warren Ameduri said.

The public then reported an “awkwardly” parked taxi at the corner of Lawrence Avenue and Prowse Street in West Perth and it was recovered at 3.15pm.

Perth police subsequently found and charged a Ballajura man (24) with stealing and criminal damage. He will appear in court at a later date.
