YEAR 11 students from Carine Senior High School collected more than $2000 for the Salvation Army in the Perth CBD last month.
The students spent three days problem solving and giving back to the community, as part of the Urban Challenge.
The school challenge, which has been going for 26 years, is a three-day Amazing Race-style adventure.
Students collected donations for the Salvation Army in the Perth CBD, did some spring cleaning at Ronald McDonald House and prepared meals for the homeless at Manna Inc.
The students also helped with gift wrapping at the Salvation Army Headquarters and repaired signs along Kings Park’s Honour Avenues for the RSL.
Mr Shuttleworth said the work done by students managed to raise more than $2000 for the Salvation Army.
