On April 18 bartenders from the popular watering holes will go head-to-head in the inaugural Bar War as part of Eat Drink Perth to determine the peoples favourite once and for all.

James Connolly is a bartender at both restaurants and his lie with the rum bar, but Angels Cut by the Trustee and Enrique’s School for to Bullfighting owner Scott Taylor will be sitting on the sidelines.

I like the fact that five years ago in Perth hospitality there wasnt this level of inventiveness, there was never activation of rear lanes, there was never flexibility from council on liquor licensing to let us go into a weird and wonderful area and pop something up, Mr Taylor said.

So I think is a great event regardless of who wins.

The free-event will be held in Chung Wah Lane at Northbridge Piazza from 2-10pm.

The two bars will offer a range of drinks, including the classic rum drink Dark and Stormies as well as Spanish style Ginatonics, to the public before they vote for the best one at the end of the night.

The bar with the most votes will leave victorious.
