WORLD-famous dim sum chain Tim Ho Wan is celebrating the opening of its Raine Square restaurant by giving away 1000 of its famous barbecue pork buns.

The new Perth location will open at 10.30am on Thursday September 20th.

The first 1000 customers to dine at Tim Ho Wan Perth will receive a free barbecue pork bun.

The eatery is part of a global group of Tim Ho Wan restaurants, the first of which opened in Hong Kong in 2009 and was awarded a coveted Michelin Star in 2010.

Often lauded as one of the most affordable Michelin-starred restaurants in the world, Tim Ho Wan was the brainchild of chef Mak Kwai Pui, formerly of prestigious three-Michelin-starred Lung King Heen restaurant in Hong Kong, and fellow chef Leung Fai Keung.
