Tutus to the rescue

Staff ReporterEastern Reporter

With some help from her nonna, Ella made 115 small, medium and large tutus for teddy bears during the July school holidays and sold them before school and during lunch breaks for $2-$4.

The Mt Lawley resident said she was excited when she had raised $100 and by the time she reached $400, she nearly cried. Ella then organised a teddy bear parade at the junior school to show off her creations, plus a visit from Stitches the bear from PMH.

Ella has had eye surgeries and tests at PMH.

‘I’ve been to PMH more times than I can remember and I wanted to do something to help,’ Ella said.
