JAPANESE clothing giant Uniqlo will open a Perth store on August 30.

The 1290 sq m store will be based on Murray Street in the Perth CBD and the company says more than 130 local jobs will be created in the process.

Uniqlo Australia chief operating officer Kenji Tsuji said the new store would provide shoppers with more variety.

“We’re thrilled to be making our products more accessible for shoppers across Australia, with our first store in Perth allowing us to share our LifeWear philosophy even further,” he said.
