VARNISH on King was crowned Small Bar of the Year, Critics Choice at the annual Small Bar Awards on Monday night.
The People’s Choice Small Bar of the Year award went to whiskey bar Helvetica and Alfred’s on Barrack Street was named Best New Small Bar of the Year.
Mandurah’s Oyster Bar was Best Regional Small Bar.
The Small Bar Association of WA (SBA) hosted the awards at the Flour Factory.
SBA president Andy Freeman said West Australians had embraced the small bar concept and talented bar owners continued to push the limits and take the industry to the next level.
“The thriving small bar scene in WA is helping Perth take its well-deserved place as a dynamic and exciting capital city for both residents and visitors,” Mr Freeman said.
