TELSTRA says Western Australia is still experiencing some interruptions to triple-0 calls after a cable was cut in New South Wales early this morning.

They said the cable cut by an unknown party between Orange & Bowral in NSW caused intermittent mobile voice connection interruptions in NSW, Victoria, South Australia & Queensland.

They said they are working to restore services as soon as possible, but WA is currently still experiencing some interruptions.

St John Ambulance is experiencing some issues and has advised people to try again if their call does not get through the first time.

The ABC is reporting people who cannot reach St John Ambulance can request to speak to police and the police will direct an ambulance to the emergency.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services was impacted, but is back online.
