A WA Police senior sergeant accused of acting corruptly when she was in charge of a business unit in Perth says she’ll vigorously defend the charge.

The charge was laid after product supply arrangements at a police business unit in the Perth metropolitan area changed last year.

Christina Janet Johnston, 42, who was the officer in charge, flagged in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday she would enter a not guilty plea and later told reporters she would vigorously defend the allegation.

Ms Johnston, who has been stood down from duties, is due to face court again on November 22.

She is currently stood down from all duties.
