PERTH Modern School student Connor Shaw will follow in the footsteps of a former student who fought and died in Gallipoli.

Connor will join Mercedes College’s Charlotte Kennedy and Mt Lawley Senior High School’s Monroe Masa on the 2015 Premier’s Anzac Student Tour.

As part of the tour, 32 students will attend the 2015 Gallipoli dawn service in Turkey on the 100th anniversary of the Anzac landing.

They will also visit key battlefield sites and memorials.

‘As part of our humanities course, we actually have to follow the path of a previous student from school to their place of battle,’ Connor, a Year 10 student, said.

‘I was assigned previous student John Shaw Anderson’
