MT Hawthorn Cardinals were flying high after a training session from one of the West Coast Eagles (WCE) coaches this month.
The young, aspiring AFL stars met Eagles contested ball co-ordinator Adrian Hickmott at Menzies Park on August 8 for a few drills.
Cardinals assistant coach Andrew Houghton said Mr Hickmott was a mate who was happy to show the kids a few things about footy.

READ NOW“It was great for Adrian to come down and give back to grassroots footy,” he said.
“It’s a one-off session at this point; I surf with Adrian and asked him to come along and he bent over backwards to come down.”
Mr Houghton said he hoped to make it an ongoing going visit.
