‘There are not a lot of galleries in Perth that are for up-and-coming artists and for anyone like me it is kind of hard to lock in a space to showcase my work, so initiatives like this are fantastic,’ McManus said.
The acclaimed fashion illustrator has been involved with the popular initiative for the past two years, which pairs a CBD retailer with a local artist to embellish their shop front.
Head Studio in King Street features McManus’s ‘grungy rock’ creation.
‘Everyone loves it; all of the windows have had such a great response and so many people have been talking about,’ McManus said.
‘I love the ongoing discussions and hopefully it will promote more local artists’ work.’
