Staff WriterEastern Reporter

A 30-year-old woman has been charged over an alleged violent incident in Perth which left another woman in hospital.

Police allege that about 5.40pm a woman in her 30s had her bag stolen from outside a toilet cubicle at a rest centre near the corner of Barrack and Wellington Street.

After realising her bag was missing, she followed a woman that was in the immediate area, asking for it to be returned.

A physical struggle followed where it is further alleged that the victim was hit to the face and then kicked in the head while she was on the floor.
