Woman from Queensland critical after city accident

A WOMAN from Queensland is in critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital after she was hit by a car in Perth’s CBD this morning.

About 1.00am Police were called to a crash near the intersection of William Street and Hay Street, near the Hay Street Mall.

A white Hyundai Sonata sedan hit a pedestrian who was walking along or crossing the road.

St John Ambulance attended the scene and the pedestrian, a woman in her 40’s from Queensland, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 21 year old man, was not injured in the crash and is assisting with the investigation.
