FUNDING for Yokine Primary School and Mt Lawley Senior High School will be included in the September State Budget.

Ahead of the March State Election, Mt Lawley MLA Simon Millman and Education Minister Sue Ellery promised $350,000 to the primary school for a new administration building and $4 million to upgrade the Mt Lawley school.

Ms Ellery said the Labor Government was making good on its promise.

“The Department will work with the schools to develop the scope of works and for Mt Lawley Senior High School to include facilities that are a high priority for the school,” she said.

“The State Budget in September will include school upgrades.

“Building at Mt Lawley Senior High School will commence in the 2019-20 year.”

While on the campaign trail, Mr Millman said the Yokine school’s new administration building would allow the school to have a proper and separate sick room for children and space for teachers to prepare lessons.
