ALONG with $80,000 the council wanted to spend on street art, which Perth councils are spending $3.6 million to clear from their areas, we now have been informed that Bayswater councillors spouses are given hampers to the tune of $200.
In a previous letter, I suggested that those who voted for this painting rubbish should pay for it out of their own pockets.
I now suggest that the councillors should pay for the privilege of giving something to their spouses and not use our rates to do so.
Why did it take a recently elected councillor to discover this giving of hampers, which must have been going on for some time?
