Disturbed sleep

OUR mayor, John Carey, is concerned over congestion in Fitzgerald Street (Mayor smells a rat, Guardian Express, January 21).

Perhaps he should take the head of that rat and place it on the pillow of our State Premier one night.

That might make Mr Barnett wake up to the nightmare of light rail rolling past North Perth Plaza.

Perhaps he won’t ” Mr Carey seems to think we need light rail. I don’t understand that.

Mr Carey, you can’t solve a traffic congestion problem by adding to the congestion.

That’s what trams in North Perth will do.

Your ‘masterplan to develop the town centre …’ will have to involve another solution.
