Little difference in long run

Regarding the proposal to lift the pension entitlement age to 70 years, I understand that this is planned to come into effect in 2035.

I am of the era when young people left school and started work at 14 years of age. With a retirement age of 65 years, that’s 51 years in the workforce.

With the current school starting age, my granddaughter will leave high school at 18½ years of age.
