Paths for all

In no way did I refer to my “owning” any path. They belong to us all and are managed for us by local councils. Users are required to conform to traffic regulations.

“Shared’ paths” are designated by the WA Department of Transport. They are to be more than two metres wide, generally free from obstructions and sharp deviations, and usually with signage by means of painted symbols on the path, pole-mounted signs or both. My concern is that many cyclists regard all footpaths as “shared paths”, which they are not.
