Reform politics

Janice TeoEastern Reporter

IF a politician or public servant wants to flaunt his or her public persona in everyone's face, then he or she is going to be burned - as has happened.

Some of the lines dear old Bronnie took in Parliament with Tormented Tony were just reprisals, pure and simple. Australian politics is a system waiting for reform. It is the most absurd example of cohesive government structure.

It is outdated, it is divisive and it needs 21st century reform.

The time wasted on pedantic protocol is horrible. It pains people to listen and watch. Robust argument is fine but name calling, petty points scoring and so forth are not what politicians are paid to do.
