I AM happy to see that further bicycle lanes are being proposed to keep our cyclists safe.
I also suggest that cyclists ring their bell when approaching walkers using the present dual-use pathways.
My wife was left bruised, bleeding and frightened after being hit from behind from a cyclist near Trinity College in East Perth.
She was taking her first real exercise following back surgery.
The cyclist did not stop; indeed shouting abuse at my wife who lay semi-coherent on the ground, simply proving that cycling may promote fitness, but not honour, courage or basic human decency.
