CAREER information, job-ready skills and employment opportunities will be on show this month at SkillsWest Careers Expo, WA’s biggest careers event.

With free entry, the event will host more than 100 organisations and employers with career opportunities for all ages, from school students, graduates and people looking for courses to existing workers seeking new training and job opportunities.

The expo is a complete learning experience with free career advice from leading organisations, seminars and come-and-try interactive displays.

Visitors can also talk with members of the Career Development Association and learn how to write a winning resume at daily workshops.

The acclaimed WorldSkills – Try A Skill Interactive Zone will be a major feature of the expo.

This hands-on area is designed for visitors to try a variety of trades and learn about real career pathways and training opportunities that exist within a wide cross section of industries.

There is also a $1500 cash prize to be won.

The SkillsWest Careers Expo will be held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on Friday, August 17, from 9am – 3pm, Saturday August 18 from 10am – 4pm, and Sunday August 19 from 10am – 4pm.
