EAST PERTH Eagles scored a stirring win on the weekend to win the Grand Final of the girls’ under-11s basketball.
The Eagles took out the Second Division Championship by beating the Geraldton Buccs 30 points to 12.
While technically a Buccs home game, the final was played at the Bendat Basketball Centre in Floreat.
The Eagles were very well served by Ari Van Vliet and Josie Allen this season, with the prolific duo scoring 49 and 48 points each from five games.
The Eagles won four of their five games, the other being a no-result.
They enjoyed big wins over Rockingham (47-3) and Perry Lakes (40-6), as well as winning a tighter contest against the Perth Redbacks (28-18).
