Coolbinia Bombers Junior Football Club to cater for children with disabilities after clubhouse upgrade

CHILDREN with disabilities will be catered for at the Coolbinia Bombers Junior Football Club clubhouse.

The club’s All Abilities Starkick program was in July selected to receive the 2016 Sydney Swans Volkswagen Grassroots Grants program, which will help allow changes to the clubhouse so footballers with disabilities have the same access as everyone else.

Starkick co-ordinator Rob Geersen the club was working with the City of Stirling to make the changes, which are expected to be completed by the middle of next year.

The Starkick program, which has been running since 2014, caters for players of all ability levels including children with various disabilities, who by circumstance or choice, are unable to participate in mainstream sporting teams.
