Coolbinia-West Perth Cricket Club scores $15,000 grant for synthetic turf training nets

It was one of 19 projects around Western Australia that took a share in $526,796 as part of the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) small grants.

Sport and Recreation Minister Mia Davies this week announced the projects that were approved in the latest round.

“Offered twice a year through the Department of Sport and Recreation, the grants – for projects under $200,000 – go to local sport and recreation clubs and local governments requiring financial help to complete a project that might otherwise be out of reach,” she said.

“A number of these grants are for the installation or replacement of floodlighting, which will allow sports fields, courts and rinks to be used at night throughout the year.”

There are two small grants rounds a year.

The next round opens on July 1, 2016 and closes on August 31, 2016.

The main round of CSRFF is now open and closes on September 16, 2016.
