Cricket: Mt Lawley’s English teen Taylor named club’s best and to WADCC Team of the Year

Julian WrightEastern Reporter

IT was a big weekend for English import Callum Taylor, who won Mt Lawley’s First Grade Club Champion Award and was named in WA Premier Cricket’s WADCC Team of the Year.

Callum’s recognition was the bright point on a disappointing 2016-17 season for the Hawks, who finished in 14th spot with one outright win and two first innings victories.

The Essex teenager scored 508 runs at an average of 33.87 and took 28 wickets in a standout season.
