Funding for sporting associations

The funding will go towards helping develop sport and recreation from grassroots to elite levels.

Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron recently announced the Organisation Sustainability Program funds at Perth Oval.

He said the funding would help associations develop talent, enrich sporting culture and encourage participation.

‘The Government is committed to working with sport and active recreation organisations to develop a philosophy of good governance and continuous improvement,’ he said.

‘Ultimately, the strength of these groups enhances the capacity and vitality of the West Australian community through sport and recreation.’

Among the recipients is Westcycle, the WA Football Commission, Athletics WA, Basketball WA, the WACA, Equestrian WA, Surfing WA, Skate Australia (WA), Gymnastics WA and Football WA.
